Why aren't your glutes growing?
This applies to any muscle, really. You can blame "bad genes", or you can take an honest look at the main mistakes and start working on them.
1. You sit too much. Your muscles have literally "forgotten" how to be active. Other muscles switch on, but not your glutes.
2. No progressive overload. Muscles only grow when they're challenged beyond their previous level. If the load and weights don't progress, the muscle won't grow. You can maintain it, but growth is unlikely.
3. The wrong choice of exercises. The basics: feel the muscle, focus on what you're doing and what's actually working. Pre-fatigue can help you feel the target muscle better afterwards.
4. You don't eat enough. Just as we gain weight when we eat more, the same logic applies here: building muscle needs energy.
5. Poor sleep, stress and no time to recover. Muscles need rest, especially after a tough session. If you sleep a couple of hours, feel anxious all the time, wake up and can't fall back asleep, get your sleep and stress back on track first. Then expect muscle growth.
A workout doesn't have to take hours. 30 focused minutes is enough for a good strength session ❤️
